I believe that all people with disabilities must be included within their communities with support. I have advocated throughout the years for my son, John, to be included; and, I have marveled at his joy and progress when it becomes a reality. I have served previously as an advocate through the Parent Leadership Support Project through the Georgia Advocacy Office, working with schools to ensure the rights of students with disabilities. I have also volunteered as treasurer of the Arc of Grosse Pointe / Harper Woods. I’m excited about ReClif Community’s providing support for autistics on outings and get togethers that bring them into the greater community with their peers.
